If it gets wet in the windrow, its a mess. Even with a tedder not much salvage to it in a humid climate. On the ground, with a tedder, its not a huge problem, just hurts the quality and color. Without, all you can do is let it dry on top, turn it with a rake, and turn it again, and again.

There are a world of tedders sold when hay gets wet unexpectedly. A two basket runs about 1500.
