No real help, but a few thoughts: (1) Don't know if the people at zenithcarburetor.com or thecarburetorshop.com are helpful on these questions, but you could try; (2) if you know or can find out what the engine originally came from, someone's spec book might ID it; (3) post a pic to the help identify forum, and if no help try a couple of the old truck sites, like the clasic truck link here and aths.org. Pity you didn't strip the water pump, dist etc too; sounds unusual.
