I replace both unless I plan to unload it rather soon. There are some Super Blues and Sylvania SilverStars that would help the missus out in the rain and dark. These bulbs are street legal and only differ in the color of the light thrown and quality of the bulb. Cost more, but you"d expect that anyhow. If properly aligned, they should look like any other light by passing drivers. Ultimately up to you... HTH Aaron
