First, because the fall tillage leaves the field rather rough for smooth turns. I generally make 2 or 3 passes around the field, then usually work at an angle. FC is 24 feet wide, pull type, and when I turn I leave it slightly in the ground, enough to scratch out the tire tracks. Saves making cleanup rounds.
