Best thing since sliced bread...

Or atleats that's what it seems like to me. I got sick of putting the duals on the tractor's with a big 1 1/8" wrench, so I took advantage of the water jet at school. I found a chunk of 1" plate and burnt out the 1 1/8 hex with 1 3/4 OD and a 1/2 square to fit over the impact with the same OD. I found a peice of sch. 80 pipe and hasd the lathe guy at work bore out the hex about 1/8" or so deep for the pipe and turn a step on the square side to go inside the pipe. I welded it all up, it runs true and works FRIGGIN GREAT!!! Just get the dual up there and be quick with the 1st clamp, easy going from then on. What used to take 45 min- 1 hr per side with a wrench, now takes maybe 30-45 min. for both!!! I'm hooked... Actually kinda exited to put on the smaller 18.4-34's on the 285- those should be a cake walk! Those bigger 18.4-38's sure were a heck of a lot easier. No problem getting them off again either. Wasn't bad before but now just zip the nuts loose and drive away, don't worry about fussing with the wrench...
