Went to the neighbor's estate auction this morning. WOW. 156.7 acres of prime development land sold for $36,500 per acre. Thats $5,719,550 for the land an then there is a city sewer assesment that is due when it gets developed that will add another $320,000 onto that. My one acre home site sits right across the road from it. I might have to think about what to due with mine when it starts developing. It currently is zoned ag but in the long range city plans it would be used for commercial. Looked like there was 3 bidders after it. (link at suttonauction.com)
