Lou go to your vet and get Panacur you need to give it for 3 days at the rate of 1cc per 5 lbs of body weight per day. For heart worm prevention use Ivermec in the mouth at the rate of 1 to 1.5cc once a month. DO NOT USE IVERMEC IF YOU HAVE A COLLIE OR YOUR DOG HAS ANY COLLIE BLOOD IN IT. I have used this program for over 20 years on hounds and cur dogs.Good luck
