In central/west central il the planting looks a little spotty. I started on saturday morning. Things went well, and only got better over the next couple days, ground conditions and soil temps were both good. Went over to the deere dealer today and noticed on the trip that there were places with fields planted and some areas I didnt see any. Stopped in at the fertilizer / chemical supplier and they felt many guys had just a start before last nights 1.5 - 2 inch rain fall. I'm sure that when it dries out this time the guys who havent started will be in a mad rush to get over some acres between rains. bill
