Yes I have some very unhappy memories of that time too. Interest rates at 15%, house loan at 18%. Got made redundant and worked for cash on potato harvester to make grocery money. Mr Ford wanted his money NOW for the car loan. Was out of work to 5 months, used all savings & took 2 years to get square.
Still here moaning & giving wife h*ll and buying old tractors ! LoL
