I bought a 5' Woods Dixie Cutter rotary mower when I bought the tractor, and I have beat that mower plumb to death. The deck is so brittle I can't even weld it any more, and the gearbox is so worn out it'll barely hold grease, much less gear oil.

Hasn't hurt the tractor a bit. The only money I've put in that tractor since new is one battery, one rebuild kit in the rockshaft, and one transmission-to-rearend gasket. The rockshaft and gasket were due to using a 3ph-mounted backhoe, and I mean using it HARD!

The point of all the foregoing is that the 790 is one of the best compact utilites ever built, and wearing out a rotary mower wouldn't even break a sweat on it. If you like it, keep it! You won't be sorry, IMHO.

Thank you for your thoughts. That makes me feel much better. I hate the thought of getting rid of it and finding another.
