I was reading that above-ground manure-spreading has been made illegal in some farming areas in Europe now - and farmers have to use some sort of manure-injection machine that "injects" the manure below ground. Bet those things have a steep price-tag.
In my area of dairy- farming NY, most large farms are using chain-barrel spreaders and gone away from the conveyor units.
The old rotted-out conveyor-spreaders often sell to be used as firewood-trailers.
