In the begining when Henry wanted to buld tractors,there was a company named Ford that was already building tractors.So he used the name Fordson for him and his son.In 1939 when he came out with the 9n, the other Ford company was no longer ,so he was able to change the name to Ford.He still used the Fordson name ,mostly for the tractors built in Ireland.
