For a single bottom you can measure from the landside to the outer tip of the plow share (the cutting edge. Make that measurement perpendicular to the plow beam. That's the maximum the plow will cut. Many times the same share was used for several plow widths so this isn't perfect. And in that case the width of cut depends on the distance to the inside of the right rear tractor wheel.

If you try to cut too wide it won't turn over well, many plows let the share stick a couple inches into the preceeding plow furrow.

There probably is a difference in the moldboard for different plow widths, but that's not even certain for every maker and every set of sizes.
