I think it would work on a block in a non stress area, like the lower side of the block. It is good on parts like a carb, I fixed a carb that had cracked at the fuel line inlet. Good for pot metal items like toys and to repair stripped out threads in bolt holes if something does not put a lot of stress on the bolt like a hood. Won't work for high heat areas or where there is lots of stress or weight. If you absolutely can't find a part or it's outrageously expensive to repair or replace, it's worth a shot.
