funny u bring up gear ratios. i was contemplating switching rearends 4.10-3.73 but since it will be used mostly on farm and short trips with stock trailer maybe up to 50 miles i decided to leave it. Ive got a four speed with big leaps between the gears good for gas motors. probably not on perkins? Also have a 90 chev 1ton w/6.5 4sp. man. motor came out of 94 1/2tonw/automatic. i converted it to manual pump figured out how to keep throttle position sensor on pedal and rolled it 3 weeks later. 6.5 is good with that four speed behind it, i want for power though.
