My Clipper fanning mill has two screens, one that just passes the acceptable seed and the lower one that just keeps the acceptable seed, so it sorts out the big chunks and the fines. Feeds them out separate chutes. Some big fanning mills have 4 or 5 screens to separate the seed into sizes while cleaning too.

Don't the cob hunks burn well in the corn heater?
