Sounds a little hig to me but it also depends on where you are as to what prices are. I got my 1980 4X4 heavy half ton a couple years ago and payed $1200 for it and have been more then happy with it. I work it and then over work it and it still just keeps going. It has a 350 and a 4 speed in it and also has high gearing in the axles so I get around 17-20 MPG with it which is also very nice
