My self I use only valvoline oils. The reason is any engine I have opened up after useing that brand have been clean, show very little wear and when I pulled the pistons out I didn't need a ridge reamer to do so. Been useing it for 30 plus years now and the only engine I have seen go bad was one that was run to low on oil and droven to far that way
