Morning Wardner, I can't answer that for sure, but I would suspect the 3500 shackles are made from the same material as the 1500, 2500 shackles. We have had trouble with both series. I would suggest taking a chipping hammer if you have one, and lightly tapping in the center of the shackle. You will know right away if there is a problem. The center is made solid and the hammer will go right through it if there is a problem.
