7.3 ought to last 400,000 miles easy if taken care of. Makes me wonder what it's doing with a new engine at 155K if you say the owner takes care of it. Fuel mileage will depend a lot on how it's geared. My 94 7.3 turbo (not Powerstroke) 4WD F250 Ex-cab turbo has 4.10 axles and over-drive automatic. Best fuel mileage is around 15 MPG at 70 MPH. If the axles were a lower ratio, it would get 17-19 MPG. I've also got a older non-turbo 7.3 with 4.10 axles and no overdrive and it gets 12-13 MPG. My 1/2 ton Chevy 4WD 1/2 ton with 6.2 diesel gets up to 24 MPG but it's not much use for heavy work.
