First off, the 801 Powermaster was not offered until 1958. If you have a 1955, then it's likely an 800 series. Second, unless this is a diesel tractor, it was originally a 6 volt system from the factory. There being about a dozen different ways to convert to 12V (a few of them even work), and not knowing which method your dpo chose to use, it's hard to give you a "one size fits all" wiring diagram. So, let's start by trying to determine what you really have. 1. Is it gas or diesel? 2. Does it have a grille like an NAA or does it have a grille with big square grids? 3. Does the starter solenoid have 3 or 4 terminals? 4. Have you found the serial number? Stand on the left side of the tractor. See the starter? Now let your eyes move a little toward the rear of the tractor. Just past the starter you should see a flat horizontal surface....kind of below the air cleaner. The model number and serial number should be stamped there. You may need to do some grime and/or paint removal to see them. The link below shows some wiring diagrams that may or may not work. It's a place to start anyway. They were done by John in LA who hangs out on the Ford board at this site. He would be more qualified to help you with the details of your wiring problems.

Ford part numbers follow the following rules. Most part numbers are in three parts. The middle part is called the
