I'm reading a book titled "The Worst Hard Time" by Timothy Egan. It is a great history about the Dust Bowl and the myriad of circumstances that led up to it. The XIT Ranch is mentioned prominently as it transitioned from a ranch to wheat field. I'm really enjoying the book in spite of its sobering topic. Grub
