If it has a loader, you need the fluid. Kill yourself in a roll over without. If it has a lot of hp & is pretty light weight, work on snow/ice, in loose soil, etc. you need it for traction. It should have calcium cloride in it. That is salt mixed with water. It is non-toxic. (does kill grass of course if it leaks out). This stuff weights 11 lbs per gallon, so it gives you good weight. Some use antifreeze, but that stuff is toxic, is light weight (6 or so lbs per gallon) and very expensive (for what I'd need in Minnesota anyhow). My tire place would be kinda ticked if I contaminated their supply of CC with antifreeze as well. If you don't like the potential for rust that CC has - if you don't take care of leaks & the like - then Rimguard from beet pulp is a good alternative. --->Paul
