I think Rusty said it best. Its all about having a litle discretion. If you want your exhaust a little loud, do it right and get some Flowmasters or something similar. Do it right, and make it sound good. Don't just put some straight pipes on it. There's a difference between a pickup with a nice American sounding rumble, and a loud unmuffled racket. And agin, with discretion. If its the middle of the day and your out in the middle of nowhere, let 'er rip. If I'm out in my front yard and hear you flying by with a nice loud rumble, I'll probably give you a thumbs up. But if its late at night, or your in the middle of town, take it easy. A little bit of politeness goes along way.
