I know the feeling. Seventeen years ago I picked up a VC Case at Edgely ND and started back to Great Falls MT; 19 miles West of Dickinson ND 2 hitch bolts came out and the trailer started whipping on me. Before I got stopped, the trailer had flipped and I probably drug the tractor 1/4 mile. All the chains holding the load on the trailer held and we set it up with a wrecker. I don't know why the picup didn't go too. The patrolman who investigated the mishap was pleasantly surprised to find that I had had the safety chain fastened so he didn't have to write a ticket. I still haven't fixed the tractor.
