I have found that the odds of someone doing that are slim to none. they usually have a big lip or they are in pretty good shape. you can put a piston in without rings and tell if its been bored or cleaned out at one time with a ridge reamer. This ain't rocket science you know. A Machinist friend of mine told me once that anything is close enough for farm equipment.
