I bought a Meyer 3245R manure spreader last fall. Local dealer sells them, but I bought mine used about 75 miles from home. I wish I'd talked to the dealer first. They said they have had them come in with the slip clutch so hot it was dripping, one that had the whole front end punched out. Mine doesn't have a top auger and works OK with pure slop or with pen manure that bridges up,but I've had one HECK of a time with mostly slop and a few buckets of dry, stringy not so broken down soilds from around the round bale feeder. As the slop runs out the bottom, the solids start to roll up against the back and get wrapped so tight that the beaters won't tear it up and throw it out. What a nightmare. I've even sheared the key off in the coupler in the drive line. Anybody else had this kind of trouble with these things? I wish somebody would have warned me.
