Thanks for the reply. I guess thats good and ba news. To talk to the mechanics at the shop its a huge mystery that the clutch didn't work when they put it in. Thats what prompted them to open up the transmission - When I go in Monday to discuss it, I'm sure they'll want me to pay for the additional hours they put in finding this brake band and opening the tranny. Thats bad news on the steering gear box, I'll see the item in question monday, but I was told its the box. It was cracked and full of water - everything in there was shot.
