Another alternative would be airplane tires.They are about 20 ply,the thorns won't affect them,and they will probably last indefinitely.I use them on my batwing mowers.Used to have 1-2 flats a day,went to airplane tires,and not a flat in 4 years.
I tried foam filled tires on my skidloader,no flats,but it rode like a buckboard and when the tires wore out I had to replace the wheels also.
