Sorry to hear about your daughter. Have they tested for viral or bactirial infections in the CSF (ceribral spinal fluid) or in the centrl nervous system? Most unconcious patients that have a prescription for pain relievers are initially tested for an overdose because it is the most obvious coarse of action. This by no means should label anyone as an overdose. The medical world starts at the obvious and works their way to the rare diseases and conditions. They should also put a tube down into the stomach for content removal when the patient is unresponsive. Any labeling or diagnosing of an "overdose" should be contested when there is no proof of an overdose. The diagnosis should also indicate what the overdose was as well as records showing the treatments of that particular type of overdose and the patient's response to the treatment. Oh, and an attorny would find the time to read the fine print if it was the right job.
