Duane, I am 52 and had a kidney transplant 16 years ago and it is still working. Spent 8 months on dialysis. Tried both types of dialysis. Doing pretty good now. I only missed two months of work and have been working full time and farming part time ever since. I am always happy to talk to other kidney failure folks If I can be of any help.
