You would need to burn something like racing fuel or alcohol if you pack too much air into it due to detonation. Diesel turbos put out something like 16psi, gas turbos about 6psi. Gas engines are controlled with a butterfly that restricts the intake of fuel air mix, so you have a turbo trying to cram in more air and a butterfly restricting it except at wide open throttle. You could get around the detonation problem with water injection. Kind of makes a good reliable gas tractor less so and less user friendly. Could be fun though if you can live with the risk to your tractor. Have fun!
