You will have much better luck getting connections to seal if you first wash all parts in a fast drying paint thinner like PT 160 from Deere. The thinner washes off all traces of fuel that attract dust and dirt floating in the air which causes most leaks.Just blow everything dry before assembly. Then if you look closely at the washers, you will see they are slightly convex from when they were stamped out. Install the cup side towards the line like this-------H (8)H.Then be sure the lines are not tightened under stress or vibraion will back the fitting back loose after the engine has run for a while.
