I have a 2000 kia sephia that has 165,000 miles and runs like a champ other than one belt squeals like a stuck pig. At about 110,000 I decided to change the original belt which never gave me any trouble at all but it was getting old. I tried 3 sets of belts the last set coming from the kia dealership itself but cant cure the problem. It is the belt that drives the AC and power steering. Even with the AC off it still squeals a little and with the AC on it is quite embarrassing. They are tight enough, the first set actually broke from over tightening. Maybe the rubber on the oringinal set was softer or something. I have been advised against best dressings. I am thinking that maybe the PS or AC pump is hard to turn, but they both work fine. I am sorry to post this on a tractor forum, but you gotta go where the knowledge is.
