Same engine different stroke. Same stroke as a 4.5 liter 4b. If any one knows what im talkin about Cummins made 2 different 4 cylinders that was exactly the same other than the stroke back in the old mechanical days. well 2 generations later it hit the 6 cylinder. 5.9 or 6.7 both have a 4 inch bore.
