Any of you guys with Deltran Battery Tenders... The instructions say to only hook the black clip to a grounded piece of metal on the chasis. I'm using mine on a modern car and there aren't a lot of big pieces of grounded metal around to hook to in close proximity to the battery (lots of nice plastic covers, though!). Is it okay to leave a tender hooked up for long periods of time with the black clip on the neg post of the battery (and the red clip on the pos post)? This shouldn't harm anything, should it? What's the difference? Just trying to be sure you have a good ground? Thanks.
