I had a '98 1500 swb 4X4 with the 5.2....I'm sorry , maybe I shouldn't spoil your party..But , I had terrible luck with this truck..Back under warranty 16 times [ twice on a hook]..I'm 55 , I don't hammer on my vehicles..I've plowed snow for over 35 years..My '79 Blazer was 9 years old when I retired it, never had the transmission pan down except to change the oil and filter once..My '87 swb 4X4 pick-up with meyers 7.5 steel blade and a homebuilt rear box blade on the rear, central hydraulics..In 10 years I had to take it in once for a warranty repair on the transmission..A snapring broke, not a wearout problem..If they didn't rust out so badly , I'd still be driving the '87..I now have a '05 Silverado with only Western 7.5 on the front....No problems...
