There was never any mention of refundable or not.What is the purpose of a deposit ?? I thought that it was to secure a deal.
So, if I buy a tractor from you for say $3000 and put down a $500 depsoit, after 3 months I change my mind, since we didn't talk about refundable or not, all I have to do is request my deposit back and you are left holding your tractor for 3 months, for nothing in return ?? If you place a deposit on a house, do you think the bank will give you your deposit back, just because you changed your mind ?? What is the difference??
