aww, we got our first color set from my in-laws! We'd had a lot of expensive Dr. bills with our 3 sons, along with the cost of adoptions,(3) and i wasn't making much money on the G.I. Bill, so we watched Black and White for a long time-got to the point that the green grass got even greener! Heck, our tv set was so worn, we had to turn the channel switch with pliers!
Did that make us feel inferior? Naw, just frugal! And, when we could afford it-we bought a good used color set! Lasted 5 years, then bought a new one-when we could afford to pay cash! And that after the mortgage payment each month!
Life, love, marriage, family, costs money, but if you do it right, it lasts, color tv notwithstanding!
So-paint yer wagons any color ya want! As long as they run good, do what they are intended to do, and hold up well, who cares if a CC is painted blue or red.
