Early cab tractors

Today I was talking with my 86 old father. He was talking about farming in Kansas in the 30's and said his brother in law bought a new McCormic/Deering with a cab and A/C around 38 or 39. Said the A/C didn't work well, but did have air. Is he correct? I would not have thought cabs were available that long ago much less A/C. Anyone know when cabs first came on the scene. What about A/C?
