Hi all , Our power went out at 11am Saturday and we got power back about 5pm tonight , sister and BIL still out about three miles from me . He bought a 5500 watt genny last night at midnight , and we worked all day getting his house wired for the genny . I used extension cords all over my house and had just got a L14 plug this morning so I could wire up my well . We got it wired up at 4:30pm and the power came back on at 5 , go figure ! Lost a bunch of trees on the place , have one about 8-10" balanced across the old shed out back but no damage to anything , my wife watched it break off and fall real slow because of the trees on the far side of the shed . We got just over 1.25 inches of ice and about 6" of snow on top with 40 mph wind . Another storm watch in effect starting tomorrow morning . It wasn't too bad for us . A couple space heaters kept the house about 56* and we bought a new camp stove to cook on . We had a plow come by on Sunday so we could get out to the store for more supplies . Just a long weekend camping in the house and bathing in the kitchen sink ! Take care all ! ...Randy

Flax provided the fibre which w
