Well my wife was coming home from the store and she just about made it home when coming up the last hill, at about 45 mph, she heard a "pop" and her 95k mile 2000 Grand Voyager coasted to a stop. No drive at all, no reverse, won't move, nothing. Put it in park and she stays put. Engine sounds good in park but when we put it in gear and give her some gas she pops & sounds likes its missing and backfires - very strange. Back to the transmission problem - Fluid color looks good, smells good and is at the full mark. Dropped the pan and examined the filter - doesn't look too bad at all and only slight amount of sludge on magnet. Tranny was changed out at 36k when old one blew out a bearing so this one has nearly 60k on it and had fluid and filter changed at 30k. Any ideas on what may have happened? Didn't notice any problems with transmission until it quit. Thanks.
