We lost 45 big round bales out of the field a couple years ago. The thief even used our tractor after he broke the lock off the shed to get in. Turned out to be a local dairy farmer that to this day denies that he was in the wrong. He showed the Sheriff a cancelled check from 9 years ago made out to my since deceased Uncle for hay. Claims he was buying "hay futures". I ended up getting $25 use for the tractor...nothing for the hay!
