I see your point. The motto "the customer is always right" still stands, or it should anyway. John Deere is going down a path that has a bad ending. In my town the JD dealer just closed. Why? Deere is wanting to consolidate dealers. My local dealer was close to closing a deal with a dealer in a nearby town to take over their dealership. Deere did not want that dealer to have my towns dealership. Deere wants this big mega dealer to have it. My local dealer went to sign the papers and were told no deal, this mega dealer is going to take over. They will open up next week at your location. My local dealer said no way. Deere does not own that property and now they are closed down, he said "no deal - not on my property". Customers will have to travel 20-40 miles to surrounding dealerships for parts and service. I live in Wythe county Virginia, where I-81 and I-77 cross. In state county rankings of cattle is #5, sheep #10, forage #9, dairy #5, corn silage # 6. By the way the mega dealer is James River Eq. Deere wants that mega dealer to have everything. Deeres #1 postion could be threatened by price fixing, their equipment is high now, it will go higher.
