Yes, though with the ammeter having two posts you have to cut the wire. Then the connections depend on the battery polarity. For negative ground, you hook the negative ammeter post to the battery and the positive ammeter post to the load and charging circuits. The ammeter with terminals will probably show current through the wire laid against it but will probably be insensitive. Gerald J.
