You don't need many amps. I use an old 12 volt power supply that is self regulating. I cleaned up some old tools using it and it only ran at about 1 amp. I used a piece of scrap stainless and that worked well. I heard that it lasts longer than scrap iron, but not as available! All the best, and remember it doesn't have to be boiling to work.
