When you go to fix the leak around the pto shaft , you will come across a couple things. First , the housing came with a single lip seal originally. When you order it from Deere you will get 2 identicle narrower seals. Install them back to back , you will get 2 seal lips with space between them. That brings up the other issue. You will probably find a groove worn in the shaft right where the original seal lip rode. You can't expect a new seal to seal against that. The sael lips from the new "double' seal will be positioned in a different location and will miss that groove and therefore seal like new. Make your own housing gasket and you're good to go.
