yes we have replaced several oil pump gears with the crank in block, i would recomend a new pump and gear while your there, make sure you put your pickup tube back on before you put the pan on , once the pan is on you cant get the front of the tube lined up, also the 2 bolts wont go in the pickup tube with the ballancer on
