Photos not appearing

I have read several posts recently that mention photos but they do not appear for me, not even the red x box. The post by IaGary of his 1066 did work okay but the one by David in Wales did not. Anyone know what I might need to do . I like the pctures that get posted and miss seeing them. Any help is appreciated.
