Got a top of the line Dell for Christmas from a rich relative. As far as surfing the web and the kids doing homwork it's no better than an el chepo. Save you money, Wallmart has package deals that do everthing this Dell does for a quarter of the money. Skip Apple for the kids sake because this world and their future are windows based. Try to mainly compair which windows programs actually come with the computer even this Dell that cost over a thousand bucks makes us have to buy more windows software and it's expensive. They all use slick marketing and give you free trial software that expires after you get used to it.
